Split Chain just demolished 2000 Trees and their performance made many people pay attention! From opening the NEU stage in 2024 to crushing the Axiom stage this year in mid afternoon, it felt like a special set for the band and a landmark statement from the boys from Bristol.

These boys have presented a product that stands out amongst others in the ever-evolving music scene. With a real 90's feel to both their audio and the visuals, they evoke a sense of nostalgia that resonates deeply with fans who have longed for a revival of that era's distinctive sound and style. Their music captures the raw energy and rebellious spirit of the 90s, blending it seamlessly with contemporary influences, making them not only a throwback but also a refreshing addition to the current musical landscape. Their debut album, 'motionblur', was only released the day before this electrifying set on 11th July, yet they still managed to generate enough buzz and excitement to pack out the tent all the way to the back. This impressive turnout speaks volumes about the anticipation surrounding their music and the magnetic pull they have on their audience. Vocalist 'Bert Martinez-Cowles' demanded your attention with a commanding presence that filled the stage, captivating everyone in attendance. His powerful voice resonated through the crowd, and he didn't hit a buff note throughout the performance, showcasing not only his vocal range but also his ability to connect emotionally with the audience. The whole rest of the band was equally impressive; you could see that they were on top form this day, showcasing their tight-knit chemistry and musical prowess. They were clearly ready to cement their place as a band to watch out for, leaving a lasting impression that would live long after the final note had been played.
