Hatebreed - Make The Demons Obey

An old school throwback from Connecticut Hardcore Legends.

Hatebreed are back with their first new music in 5 years and they do not dissapoint! 'Make The Demons Obey' is a visceral release from the hardcore legends that feels like the group is tapping back in to their older sound in some parts. They've had a busy summer as they've been around the world, even featuring a trip to the hallowed grounds of Download Festival before heading over to Ieper Hardcore Fest in early July. They have a brief run back in the States on their Summer Slaughter tour before returning to the UK in support of Killswitch engage in October. This tracks feels angry. The relentless thrash sections are expertly interchanged with groove laiden beatdowns and gang vocals. In my opinion, this is one of their best tracks for a while now and that's saying something as they rearely release a dud. Rating: 4.5/5
